LOUD WOMEN’s Ruby Connery caught up with Lucy Spraggan at Boardmasters Festival 2026 to talk music, sobriety, fitness, collaboration and making the music industry a more accepting space for women.
Since becoming an X Factor favourite back in 2012, Spraggan has gone on to release seven albums and establish herself in the UKs music scene. Her song writing brings together sharp, honest lyricism with an eclectic mix of pop and genre-blending sounds, making her an artist who stands out.
In the interview, Ruby and Lucy discuss what it was like collaborating with Robbie Williams, as well as the all-important question of which one of them would win in a fight. There’s an extra special connection between the pair, too. Lucy Spraggan was actually Ruby’s first ever gig, 10 years ago.
